I went here with high expectations and it exceeded them. The food was incredible, specifically the asada tacos. Something they do with them is very different from other taco shops. It was so flavorful and brought tears to my eyes. They also have some delicious salsa that’s all custom made in house. Would absolutely recommend and will be coming here again. The owner Enrique came out to chat with us as well and made sure we were having a great experience and it was a great touch. All of the staff was so friendly and helpful.
My daughter told me they have the best horchata in the world, so we had to check it out. And yes! They truly have the best horchata—at least in Utah County—and the food was fantastic too! Their salsas were so flavorful, I could almost drink them. I ordered blackened fish tacos and blackened shrimp tacos with rice and refried beans, and I couldn't decide which was better because both were amazing! The service and atmosphere weren’t perfect, but hey, it’s a taco place! I’d totally go back again!
That was the best bite of taco I have had in the state of Utah (chile verde) We got the quesatacos. Birria and chile verde. Chile verde was to die for. Birria was good too. It was clean but not super vibes atmosphere. Great music playing. Will be coming back.
Stopped in on a double date for some tacos and fell in love with this place. We ordered three tacos, a burrito, a chicken quesadilla, chips & salsa and the mercado salad. The meat on everything was so tender and cooked to perfection! The salsa was a little spicy but it wasn't too hot. The salad had beautifully fresh veggies on it and it was topped with just enough dressing so you could still taste the veggies. The place was packed but the service was great and we got our food in a good amount of time. We'll definitely be back. And if you go I recommend the blackened shrimp tacos but everything we had was really good!
El Tio Taco was IMPECCABLE. The employees were really pleasant and helpful, and the food was divine. The birria tacos with the consume dip were especially delicious. I loved my al pastor taco too. And the salsa was killer...Just enough spice to say hello but not so much that it burned! We took as much home as we could. Can’t wait to go back again.
Went and tried a new latin restaurant with some great friends. Tried their birria special plate, al pastor taco, and shrimp taco with some jamaica(hibiscus) drink. This plate is really good. As you can see the meat to tortilla ratio is incredible. Let's start with the birria because everyone has their way of doing this and you can never go wrong with birria. Beef that has been slow cooked is always good especially with a bit of consome to go with it. I like that they served some of the fatty pieces of meat with the birria. It was flavorful and juicy. Add some onion, cilantro, lime, pickled onions, and hot sauce, this taco will leave your mouth watering for more. The al pastor tacos were really juicy and tender as well. Most places cook it from a spit-grill and you can the edges type cut and can get some dry pieces. Not sure how this place does it, but you get more juicy tender pork full of flavor. The shrimp tacos were delicious. I'm so glad they didn't over sauce it either because you get to actually taste the juicy seasoned shrimp. I hope this place can keep maintaining this standard because I will be coming back for more and often and with friends. #birria #birriatacos #shrimptacos #alpastor #thisishowichow #fyp @eltio.tacos
This place has the best quesa birria tacos! I also love their cheese enchiladas! I’ve tried a lot of quesa birria tacos around Utah County and none have beat these. The restaurant is very clean and the service is great! The Jamaica and Horchata is also amazing!
10/10 on food quality, highly authentic, it is NOT taco bell, real horchata!!!! Tres liches, eat here!!! Don't waste money at other places, I searched for 3 years to find a place like this, this is not American Mexican, it is real Latin food. The owners were super nice and asked how we liked what we ordered. REAL HORCHATA!!! ITS REAL AND FRESHLY MADE, IT TASTES LIKE LOVE. The churros were 10/10 and had a dash of spice which was just so very nice.
